Late 1950’s

Memories of family holidays where seven to twelve family mambers – aunts, grandparents etc – all stayed in a three-bedroomed bungalow in Hayling Island. One of us was always ill.


Bank Robber

My grandparents were also in Palestine after the second World War, where they met and fell in love. My grandfather, although forced to work for the German army, helped the resistance. My grandmother had escaped a working camp via the railway line she was working on.

My other grandfather was a bank robber!
